OCTAGON a fost fondata in October 2005 in Bucharest, Romania by Alexandros Ignatiadis & Paschalis Paganias, both former General Managers in Romania of DIEKAT and TEMELIODOMI respectively.

After long and successful careers as executives with their companies, they joined forces together with a selected team of construction professionals in order to create a dynamic group able to cater to the need of the fast growing and increasingly demanding market in geotechnical works, foundation and underground engineering.

OCTAGON has succesfully completed such projects both for the Private Sector (Commercial projects), as well as for the Public Sector (Infrastructure projects), in Romania.

Since 2009, OCTAGON has expanded its operations in Bulgaria and plans to be active in the entire SE Europe.

Since its inception, and in addition to its core business in geotechnical works, foundation and underground engineering, OCTAGON has developed the capacity to address all general contracting needs of its prospective clients.

KeyStaff

Maximilian Ene, Diploma Civil Engineer, is the Special Geotechical Works Manager. He gained a wide experience as project manager in several large geotechnical projects in Romania.

George Visan , Diploma Civil Engineer,is the Civil Works Manager being in charge with the supervision of all civil  projects of OCTAGON. George has previously worked in several large public projects in Romania. He is a certified auditor in environmental issues & environmental management systems. 

Dan Filiseanu, the Commercial Manager of OCTAGON, is a diploma civil engineer, with extensive experience in all commercial aspects of the construction sector. He is also certified in contracting construction projects under FIDIC conditions and experienced with running international projects under such contract conditions.

Loredana Ionescu, Diploma Economist,is theChief Accountant of   OCTAGON, with extensive experience in the construction sector through her tenure in large companies such as DIEKAT & SCH (Societatea de Constructii Hidrotehnice) Agremin Group. In addition to her experience in the sector, Loredana earned her auditing, taxation and corporate finance skills during her employment with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Romania.

Ilias Georgantas, B.A Economics, MBA, with studies in the US, is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of OCTAGON. Ilias bring with him over 20 yrs of Finance and Accounting experience in the Real Estate and Construction sectors in the US, Greece and Romania. His previous engagement in the Balkans (with emphasis on Romania) was that of CFO for 5 yrs of Global Emerging Property Fund, a real estate investment & development Fund, with assets under management and development of over 500 mln. Euro.
